Leejay was Saved at 13 years old through the bus ministry of his church in Anderson, Indiana. Shortly after, God called him to preach. After surrendering to that call, Leejay knew he should attend Bible college. In 2021 Leejay enrolled at Providence Baptist College and graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology. Throughout his time in college, God was working on his heart about planting a church in Illinois. Near the time of graduation, Pastor Phil Cavanaugh offered Leejay the opportunity to intern at Northwest Bible Baptist Church. It was during this time that God solidified Naperville in Leejay’s heart as the place to go.
Julie grew up in a Christian home. As a young girl, there were several times she made a profession of faith. Despite claiming to be saved, there was never a change in her life and she never felt peace along with those professions. At 10 years old she really began to question her salvation and started to have dreams about going to hell. One day while at school, she had a question on one of her assignments that she had never had to answer before. The question read: “Are you saved?” Not wanting to lie, Julie wrote her honest answer on the line underneath. “I don’t know,” she wrote. As her teacher checked over her answers she noticed what Julie had written down. It was then that her teacher was able to lead her through the Gospel. Julie bowed her head and asked Jesus to save her. Julie enrolled at Providence Baptist College in 2019 and graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. She was married to Leejay on June 17th, 2023.
